Each birthday or anniversary is printed in a color. Each color signifies a family. My mother and father-in-law were Irene and Tom Davis. All of their descendants are printed in black. Irene has one sister, Eva, who married Tom's half-brother, Frank. Eva's family is in blue. Tom's brother Clarence is still alive at 96 and his family is in purple. Clarence and Tom had one sister still living when Clarence got her hooked on the calendar. Lillian's family is in turquoise.
Tom, Clarence & Lillian came from a huge family. There were 5 of them when their mother died. Their father married a cousin who had 3 children previously. Together they generated six more children including Eva's husband Frank. Their family tree shows a total of 14 living children. Links to their family trees are on the left side of this blog.
